After being saved at a youth meeting in 1984, Steve attended Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania and finished his Bible and Theology degree at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Steve and his wife Lydia have 4 adult children, 2 son in laws, 3 grandsons, a grand daughter, and one son still at home.
Steve has a passion for helping disciple and grow the local church to do the work of ministry. He seeks to equip believers to understand the Word of God and how to apply it to every day life.
Wildwood Chapel is made of a people from all age groups. Our overall attendance is around 80 each Sunday. One of our largest age groups is toddlers! We're small enough to get to know most everyone.
Want to know what to expect when you visit?
We usually sing songs from a hymn book and also songs you might hear on a Christian radio station. We use piano, a bongo drum on some songs, sometimes a guitar or violin.
Our pastor preaches from the Bible each week, usually in a verse by verse style through books of the Bible. Sermons are around 30 minutes.
We often have a time of greeting and take an offering during the service.
You can dress as you feel comfortable. Some people come in suits and ties, others in jeans and tennis shoes.
Children are welcome to stay with their parents or we do have a nursery, Toddler church (ages 2-4) and Junior Church (ages 5 - 5th or 6th grade).
