The Roman Catholic Church (RCC) teaches salvation is through faith plus works. People can obtain their own salvation and at the same time cooperate in saving their brothers through good works and indulgences. (1477, 1479)

The Bible: Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not obtained by anything we do. It is not of doing good works. It's a gift of God. You cannot earn a gift; it is only given to those who accept it.
